Nigerian singer and songwriter Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has announced a change to his birthday celebration date in a move that has stirred conversation among fans.
In a post shared on X on Monday, April 20, the artiste declared that November 18 will no longer be recognised as his birthday celebration day.
According to him, he will neither accept messages nor gifts on that date going forward.
Instead, Mr P indicated that his birthday will now be marked on November 30, describing the decision as personal and asking fans and well-wishers for their understanding.
The announcement comes against the backdrop of a long-standing and increasingly public rift involving his twin brother, Paul Okoye and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
The trio, once united under the iconic music group P-Square, have faced years of disputes centred on management, finances, and allegations of betrayal.
Although Peter and Paul reunited in 2021 after their initial split, tensions resurfaced, with both sides exchanging accusations ranging from marginalisation to financial misconduct.
The situation escalated further in 2025 when Mr P publicly stated that he had cut ties with his family, particularly his brothers.
While Mr P did not directly link his birthday change to the feud, many observers see the move as symbolic of the deepening divide within the once-celebrated music family.
