Rafik Mahama, special aide to business mogul Ibrahim Mahama, has issued a public warning about a fraudulent TikTok account impersonating him and engaging unsuspecting individuals on alleged fake business dealings.
In a notice warning the public, Rafik Mahama alerted friends, associates, and the general public to the existence of the fake account, stressing that it does not represent him in any capacity.
According to him, the impersonator has been using the platform to mislead people, prompting the need for urgent clarification.
He stated that neither he nor Engineers and Planners, the company owned by Ibrahim Mahama, is linked to the activities of the said account.
He urged the public to exercise caution and avoid any interaction with the fraudulent page.
“Kindly note that this account is fake and does not in any way represent me, Engineers and Planners (E&P), or Mr. Ibrahim Mahama,” he stated.
Rafik Mahama further advised individuals to disregard any posts, messages, or engagements originating from the impersonating account to prevent falling victim to potential scams.
He also disclosed that the issue has been reported to the appropriate security authorities, with TikTok notified to take the necessary action against the account.
