AratheJay is having a moment, and the streaming numbers are making it impossible to ignore.

The Ghanaian star has again crossed the one million stream mark on two separate records across two of the world’s biggest music platforms, with both “Chosen”, one of his earliest releases, and “Put Am On God” surpassing one million streams on Apple Music and Spotify, respectively.

The twin achievements are a testament to the breadth of AratheJay’s appeal: one track rooted in the early chapters of his career, the other a product of his most ambitious project to date.

“Put Am On God” is from “The Odyssey,” AratheJay’s debut album, which has quickly established itself as one of the more compelling debut projects in the current wave of Ghanaian music. The Spotify milestone signals that the album’s momentum continues to build well beyond its initial release cycle, with listeners returning to the project and discovering it afresh.

“Chosen,” on the other hand, tells a different kind of story. One of AratheJay’s earliest releases, the track was produced by Rankingmadeit and has long held a special place among his fanbase.

Often described as a “true story,” the record carries a rawness and personal authenticity that has connected with listeners on a deeper level.

Its 1 million Apple Music streams are a reflection of that enduring bond and of the role social media has played in keeping it alive. On TikTok, particularly, “Chosen” has gained significant traction, with the platform’s community continuously rediscovering the track and driving new audiences back to it.

Together, the two milestones paint a picture of an artist with both range and longevity, capable of breaking through with an introspective early record and sustaining momentum with new material that equally finds its audience.

With the viral pull of “Chosen,” the critical weight of The Odyssey, and the recent milestone of “Talisman” featuring Stonebwoy crossing one million views on YouTube, AratheJay is fast transitioning from a promising name to one of the most consistent and compelling acts in contemporary Ghanaian music. The streams are beginning to catch up with the story.
