Actress Nikki Samonas says she is not under pressure to marry or have children, stressing that both decisions are personal and should happen at the right time.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM on Thursday, April 30, she addressed questions about motherhood and marriage.
At 40, Nikki Samonas said she is comfortable with her current situation and prefers not to rush into having a child.
“If it comes fine, if it doesn’t, fine. I am very fertile, so I have to be even more careful. In my family, the ladies are very fertile, so when you joke, you will take seed. So I am very careful, but it will come at the right time,” she said.
She also questioned societal expectations around childbirth, asking, “Childbirth isn’t the gateway to heaven, is it?”
On companionship, she noted that it is not limited to having children.
“The type of companionship I need is not the baby type of companionship. Companionship can come from a family member, friends, a pet, or even a partner,” she explained.
Addressing marriage, she said it requires genuine commitment and peace of mind.
“Marriage isn’t about ‘mouth mouth’ or just talks. Love is an action, and it must come with peace.”
She added that she is currently dating and believes marriage will happen when the time is right and aligns with her faith.
According to her, she is taking her time to ensure she is fully prepared for major life decisions, including marriage and childbirth.
