The Swedru Senior High School (SWESCO) Old Students’ Association has gifted the sum of GH¢100,000 to its immediate past headmistress, Mrs. Golda Esi Andam, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the school.
The presentation was made during a send-off ceremony held on Friday, May 1, at the Channel One TV premises in Accra.
Alongside the cash donation, she received a citation detailing her achievements and impact during her tenure.
Mrs. Andam, in her remarks, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the gesture and the continued support of the old students.
“I am personally and profoundly grateful to all in the Old Swasconian fraternity,” she said.
She emphasised the association’s role in achieving the school’s vision.
“Your unwavering commitment played a pivotal part in our collective drive towards becoming a school of excellence,” she added.
Appointed in 2020, Mrs. Andam became the first alumna to head the school, bringing with her a reputation for discipline and academic excellence from her previous role at Wesley Girls’ High School in Cape Coast.
She has now been transferred to the Methodist Senior High School in Saltpond, where she is expected to continue her impactful leadership.
