A Florida jury has found four men guilty of the 2024 murder of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio, born Charles Jones, following about eight hours of deliberation.
Jones, 26, was shot dead on June 23, 2024, outside a hotel near the University of South Florida in Tampa while celebrating his birthday.
Prosecutors said the attackers used his Instagram posts to track his movements and carry out what they described as a coordinated, gang-related assassination.
The convicted men — Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, Rashad Murphy and Davion Murphy — were accused of planning the attack amid an ongoing gang feud involving Jones’ alleged gang, 6Block, and rival groups in Jacksonville.
Three other people were also injured in the shooting.
During the trial, defense lawyers challenged the evidence and pointed to gaps in the investigation, but the jury still found all four defendants guilty on all counts.
Alicia Andrews, who prosecutors said acted as a lookout, was separately convicted of manslaughter in 2025.
Prosecutors are now seeking the death penalty for the four convicted men, with sentencing expected to last about a week.
