Dancehall star Stonebwoy has once again proven his dominance in the reggae and dancehall scene after winning the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award at the 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
The awards ceremony, held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, May 9, saw the Bhim Nation president beat competition from veteran reggae/dancehall icon Samini and Ras Kuuku to secure the prestigious honour.
The victory marks the tenth consecutive time Stonebwoy has won a reggae/dancehall-related category at the TGMA, further cementing his status as one of the most influential and consistent artistes in Ghana’s music industry.

Although the “Jejereje” hitmaker was absent from the ceremony, a representative received the award on his behalf to loud cheers from patrons at the venue.
Over the years, the award-winning artiste has played a major role in taking Ghanaian dancehall music to the global stage through collaborations with international acts, energetic live performances and socially conscious music.
His consistency, stagecraft and ability to remain relevant in an ever-evolving music industry continue to make him one of Ghana’s most celebrated musicians.
