Popular Nigerian fashion designer Veekee James Atere and her husband, Femi Atere, have welcomed their first child together.
The couple announced the birth of their baby girl on social media after weeks of sharing moments from their maternity shoot.
In a video shared on her official Instagram page on Wednesday, May 13, Veekee disclosed the baby’s name as Eliana Adeife Atere and disclosed that she was born on May 2, 2026.
“She’s Here,” the excited mother captioned the post.
Explaining the meaning behind the name, Veekee wrote that “EL” means “God” while “ANA” means “He has answered,” together signifying, “My God has answered.”
She also referenced the Bible verse 1 Samuel 1:27, which reads: “For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him.”
The announcement has since attracted congratulatory messages from fans, celebrities and well-wishers across social media, with many celebrating the couple’s new journey into parenthood.
