Media personality MzGee has stated that she does not miss hosting United Showbiz, the entertainment programme she previously anchored on UTV.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Wednesday May 20 on Okay FM, MzGee said she feels satisfied with the contribution she made during her time on the show and does not have any desire to return.

“The truth of the matter is that I get a lot of feedback that makes me satisfied… feedback that makes me feel like, ‘Okay, I tried my best while I was there and that’s okay,'” she said.

According to MzGee, she believes in leaving a platform “when the applause is loud,” explaining that she prefers to exit at a point where her efforts are appreciated and recognised.

MzGee said the reactions she received during her time on the programme, including both positive feedback and controversies surrounding her role and departure, gave her a sense of fulfilment because they reflected the impact she made.

“I am just glad that the applause was loud when I was exiting, so I don’t miss anything showbiz, sincerely,” she added.

She further stated that she has had enough experience within the entertainment and media space and is now focused on exploring new opportunities.

According to her, she has interviewed high-profile personalities, gained recognition and built a reputation in the industry.

When asked whether she would consider returning to entertainment hosting, MzGee pointed to feedback she received about her style of presenting, saying some people considered her approach too strict.

“I think with the feedback I got, people said I was too tough on them, and if you don’t want accountability, I don’t play with you. Because it’s part of showbiz. Showbiz is not only about the fun side… there the business side too,” she said.

She also expressed concern about what she described as hypocrisy within the entertainment industry and said she had become tired of the environment.

“And I have realised one thing too… the hypocrisy in this space is too much, so I’m tired… there is nothing here any more,” she stated.
