Kofi Kinaata has reacted to the recently announced 28-man squad for the Black Stars’ international friendly against Wales, expressing disappointment over the omission of some key players.
The squad, announced on May 25 ahead of the June 2 encounter, sparked heated reactions across social media, with many football fans questioning why players such as Joseph Paintsil, Felix Afena-Gyan and Derrick Köhn were left out.
Adding his voice to the conversation on Tuesday, May 26, Kofi Kinaata took to X, formerly Twitter, to suggest that he believes the list may not be final.
“I’m not sure this is the final list, though 90% of them will make it.. waiting for the final list with Paintsil, Afena Gyan & Kohn. Medaase!”
Since the squad announcement, fans and pundits have continued to debate the selections, with many calling for the inclusion of some of Ghana’s in-form players ahead of the upcoming international assignment.
The Black Stars are expected to face Wales on June 2 as part of preparations for future international competitions.
