Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has disclosed that he retired from music three years ago and is now focused on building his business empire.
Speaking in an interview with media personality Bola Ray on Thursday, May 28, Shatta Wale disclosed that after being asked whether he was financially secure enough to retire comfortably.
“Are you good to say you can even retire now and you’ll be okay?” Bola Ray asked.
“I retired three years ago,” Shatta Wale responded.
Surprised by the statement, Bola Ray further asked whether he had completely stepped away from music to focus on business ventures.
“Yes, I’m doing business. Hot Wave, Shaxi,” Shatta Wale explained.
The dancehall musician also hinted at major projects in the pipeline, disclosing that he has international business connections in countries like China and Dubai.
“Something explosive is coming,” he said, adding that his app developers recently created an online marketplace for Tuesday Market, which was launched just a day earlier.
“So that is what we launched yesterday, and it’s beautiful,” he stated.
