The family of the late Beverly Afaglo has announced that her final funeral rites will be held on August 7 at the Lashibi Funeral Home following a successful one-week vigil held in her honour.
The vigil, which took place in Tema on Saturday, May 30, brought together family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers to mourn her passing, share tributes and celebrate the life she lived.
The emotional gathering saw several personalities from Ghana’s movie industry and entertainment space turn up in large numbers to support the bereaved family and pay their last respects to the late actress.
Among those present were actresses Roselyn Ngissah, Gloria Sarfo, Vivian Jill Lawrence, Vicky Zugah, Salma Mumin, Portia Asare and Nana Ama McBrown.
Also in attendance were actor and Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority, James Gardiner, filmmaker Pascal Amanfo, actor and comedian Jeffrey Nortey, gospel musician Empress Gifty and media personalities Akumaa Mama Zimbi, among others.
Throughout the vigil, friends, relatives and colleagues shared heartfelt tributes, recounting the late Beverly’s kindness, vibrant personality and the positive impact she had on the lives of many people.
The event was marked by moments of reflection, prayer and emotional tributes as mourners celebrated her legacy while preparing for her final journey.
