Actor and Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority, James Gardiner, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Beverly Afaglo, describing her as a vibrant soul whose smile could brighten any room she entered.
Speaking during Beverly’s one-week vigil in Tema on Saturday, May 30, Gardiner reflected on the actress’ warmth, kindness and infectious personality, saying she left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
“She was a happy soul, vibrant and full of life. Her beautiful, ever-present smile could light up any room she walked into.”
According to Gardiner, Beverly loved people, laughter and genuine connections, making her a joy to be around both within and outside the film industry.
“Beverly loved people. She loved laughter and she loved connection. She was sociable, warm and would always surround herself with good company.”
Recalling her lively spirit, Gardiner said Beverly was known for bringing energy wherever she went and was never one to shy away from the dance floor.
“If there was music, you could be certain of one thing — Beverly would be the first to hit the dance floor with her moves. That was the spirit: joyful, free and alive.”
The actor, who said he was speaking both as a colleague and a friend, described Beverly as one of the most beautiful souls he had ever encountered.
