Actor and comedian Jeffrey Nortey paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer of Citi FM and Channel One TV, Samuel Attah-Mensah, ahead of his upcoming comedy and entertainment show, “3 Faces of Jeffrey Nortey.”
The visit took place on Thursday, May 29, at the Tesano premises of Channel One TV, where Jeffrey Nortey formally invited the media executive to the event slated for June 12 at the National Theatre.

Speaking during the meeting, Samuel Attah-Mensah pledged the full support of Channel One TV and Citi FM towards the event and stressed the importance of supporting Ghana’s creative arts industry.

He noted that the creative arts industry employs a significant number of people and deserves the same recognition as other sectors.
“This is creative work, and it employs more people than even a hospital can employ. That’s what people do.”
Sammens further commended Jeffrey Nortey and his team for their efforts and resilience in the entertainment industry despite existing challenges.

“For us at Channel One, we give you 100 percent support. You can call us any day. Truth is, it’s the terrain that has made it a bit difficult. Otherwise, with talent like this, it should be up there.”
Samuel Attah-Mensah also assured the comedian of the presence of Channel One TV and Citi FM at the event.
“We endorse it, and we really want to encourage you. We will show up at the event too and make sure that our presence is felt properly.”
Expressing appreciation for the warm reception and support, Jeffrey Nortey admitted that staying relevant as a creative remains one of the biggest challenges in the industry.

“As a creative, one of the challenges we face is the pressure to stay relevant. Sometimes you create and hope that a particular work is going to go everywhere, but you wake up the next day and it’s treated like just one of those things.”
The comedian said support from influential industry figures motivates creatives to keep pushing.
“We are hoping for the best, and I believe that with giants like you behind me, we are going to get wherever we want to go. So thank you so much,” Jeffrey Nortey added.
