Actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui has responded to claims by actor Drogba that she failed to personally check up on him during his illness.
Fella reacted in the comment section of an interview shared on TikTok by “The Village Blogger,” expressing surprise over Drogba’s remarks and suggesting the interview might have been an old one.
“I hope this video is not new because that will be surprising. We’ve been communicating lately for anyone asking,” she wrote.
Drogba, who starred alongside Fella Makafui as Serwaa in the popular television series YOLO, had earlier alleged in an interview with Sammy Kay Media, aired on May 29, 2026, that the actress had not directly reached out to him since news of his condition became public.
According to him, Fella initially contacted actor Jeffrey Nortey to enquire about his health instead of speaking to him personally, despite having his contact details.
“Fella Makafui hasn’t reached out. When the thing came, she reached out to Jeffrey Nortey. She has my number, so he was surprised. Later, she reached out to me with a different number and asked me when I was free. I told her, and since then, I haven’t heard from her,” Drogba stated.
The actor further disclosed that he had contacted several colleagues within the movie industry, including Salma Mumin and John Dumelo, but claimed they had yet to offer him any form of assistance.
