Veteran gospel musician Grace Ashley has called on Ghanaians to unite behind the Black Stars as they prepare for their first game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, urging the public to offer support rather than criticism.
Speaking in an interview with Zhikay Ike on Thursday, June 11, Grace Ashley acknowledged concerns and doubts surrounding the national team but stressed the need for Ghanaians to stand by the players as they represent the country on the global stage.
According to Grace Ashley, the Black Stars remain Ghana’s only national team at the tournament and deserve the backing of all citizens regardless of differing opinions about their performances.
“All I want to tell Ghanaians is to believe in what they have. No matter how you see them, they are the only team we have. We need to talk good about them and support them.”
Grace Ashley, who has long been a supporter of the national team, encouraged Ghanaians to remain positive and show confidence in the squad ahead of the tournament.
