David Kojo Kyei, popularly known as Kaywa, has commended music duo Keche for their unwavering gratitude and appreciation for the support he gave them during their rise in the music industry.
Speaking on The Upside Down Show with Frema Adunyame on Channel One TV on Sunday, June 14, Kaywa said Keche has remained one of the few acts that continually acknowledge his contribution to their success.
“Keche will always come back and say thank you, irrespective of where they find themselves. When they were not even doing well, they always come and say thank you for putting us on, thank you for what you did for us.”
According to the award-winning producer, honour and appreciation are values he holds dearly, making Keche’s attitude particularly admirable.
“One of the reasons why I love Keche is they know how to value and honour what you have done for them.”
Kaywa lamented what he described as a growing lack of appreciation among many young people, noting that several beneficiaries of support and mentorship often fail to acknowledge those who helped them.
“This generation, they don’t honour. Unfortunately, you put people out and support people, but how to honour is a big issue.”
The producer-turned-pastor further stressed that gratitude plays a key role in achieving lasting success, encouraging the younger generation to cultivate the habit of saying thank you.
“That’s what brings you longevity. But if you’re one who’s not thankful, your tank will never be full.”
