Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has verbally attacked former Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Mark Okraku-Mantey, questioning both his competence and impact during his tenure in office.
Speaking in an interview on The Bonah Show on Monday, June 15, the outspoken musician claimed that the former deputy minister lacked a deep understanding of the entertainment industry despite his many years of experience in the sector.
According to Shatta Wale, Mark Okraku-Mantey failed to deliver on promises made to stakeholders within the creative arts industry while serving in government and did not make effective use of the position he occupied.
The musician further said the former entertainment pundit’s time in office yielded little benefit for industry players.
“Mark Okraku-Mantey is senseless. Can you see that he didn’t do anything while in office? He didn’t even benefit from his own position.
“As far as the industry is concerned, he is the only person who is not intelligent.”
Shatta Wale’s latest remarks add to the long-standing tensions between the two personalities, who have publicly disagreed on several issues concerning the growth and direction of Ghana’s entertainment industry.
