Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has dismissed allegations that he took another man’s wife, describing the claims as false and part of a coordinated effort to damage his reputation.
In an Instagram post shared on Sunday, June 21, Edochie addressed the controversy, insisting that the man linked to the allegations had separated from his wife more than a decade ago and later remarried.
According to the actor, the individual remained silent for years after the separation but resurfaced only after his former wife began enjoying success.
“A man who left his wife in 2013, married another woman and moved on. Nobody heard his voice on social media. Years after he sees that his ex-wife is now doing well, he comes back to attach himself to her and say his wife was taken from him,” Edochie wrote.
He further claimed that the allegations were part of a sustained campaign against him, saying similar attempts to discredit him over the past four years had failed.
“My aura gives my enemies sleepless nights. In the last four years, they’ve told all sorts of lies against me, and they all failed. Now their latest lie is that I took another man’s wife.”
Edochie maintained that no person or force could bring him down, attributing his resilience and continued popularity to divine grace. He described himself as a chosen one, a lion and a king, stating that his enduring relevance and support from fans are evidence of God’s favour.
“I am unstoppable. I’m a man after God’s heart. Kings are not made, kings are born. I am the great king of our time,” he added.
The actor did not identify the individuals involved in the allegations but insisted that the claims against him were unfounded.
