Fashion entrepreneur and socialite Richard Brown, popularly known as Osebo the Zaraman, has publicly appealed to Bishop Daniel Obinim for forgiveness if his appearance in Florence Obinim’s music video offended the renowned preacher.
“If today, my friend Daniel believes I have faulted by appearing in his wife’s music video, he should forgive me because it wasn’t done with bad intentions. It’s not my aim to bring confusion between him and his wife and if I had known he had warned his wife never to get in touch with me, I’d have never done the music video.”
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on Monday, July 13, Osebo said his decision to feature in the gospel singer’s music video was driven solely by his admiration for her music and not by any ulterior motive.
“Whatever I did for Florence Obinim was from a clean heart, my manager and I. I was at my shop when she came with Nayas, saying she’d love for me to appear in her music video and I told her okay because I love her music.”
According to him, he had admired Florence Obinim’s music long before she approached him, revealing that one of her songs has always held a special place in his heart.
“My favourite music of hers is ‘Ɔsoro Ne Me Fie’ and I told her. Most of the time, I even talk about it in church because in this world, whatever you fight for, you do for your soul because at the end, we will all die.”
Osebo further disclosed that he did not charge any fee for the appearance, explaining that he offered his support out of goodwill. He noted that he and his team stayed on set from morning until the following day and have done similar favours for other gospel musicians, including Piesie Esther and Grace Ashly, without any controversy.
