The Africa Development Council, popularly known as ADC, has announced the appointment of Ghanaian communications and public relations professional Ramatu Gumah as the chairperson of its Pan-Africa Affairs Department.
According to an official appointment letter, Ms. Gumah will be responsible for strengthening the Council’s engagement with the African diaspora and the international community.
In her new position, she is expected to report directly to the President of the Africa Development Council while leading initiatives aimed at expanding the organisation’s continental and global presence.
Her responsibilities include supporting diplomatic relations, fostering partnerships with international institutions, regional blocs, and development agencies, as well as promoting the Council’s mission through strategic public relations and stakeholder engagement.
The appointment also grants her membership on the Council’s Executive Committee, reflecting the confidence placed in her leadership and expertise.
The two-year appointment underscores the ADC’s commitment to advancing African unity, international cooperation, and sustainable development through experienced leadership.
