Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has disclosed that he has an 8-year-old son, Jedidah, living in London, whom he described as an unplanned child.
Shatta Wale made the revelation during an interview on GHOne TV on Friday, August 28.
The artiste, who is already known to have children including Cherissa, Majesty and Leandra, initially appeared uncertain about his son’s exact age, placing it between six and eight years before settling on eight.
“I have a son in London,” he disclosed, adding, “like eight years ago. I didn’t plan this one.”
Shatta Wale explained that the pregnancy was not planned with the child’s mother, although he maintained that he communicates with her and the child.
Asked whether he plans to have more children, the artiste said he is now being more careful with sex.
“No, I don’t. Now, I’m being careful with sex.”
