Black Sherif has disclosed that his acclaimed album, Iron Boy, continues to feel fresh to him whenever he returns to listen to it.
The award-winning singer and rapper explained that, despite having released the project more than a year ago, he rarely goes back to listen to his previously released songs.
According to Black Sherif, his attention is usually focused on new music and other projects he is working on, leaving him with little time to revisit songs that have already been released to the public.
Speaking to Naa Oyoe Quartey on Brunch in the Citi on Thursday, September 24, the musician said he recently made an exception by listening to his catalogue from his debut album, The Villain I Never Was, through to his latest project, Sun Sherif.
He said the experience allowed him to reconnect with his older material and appreciate the music from a different perspective.
“Iron Boy always feels fresh. Last week, I was listening to all the projects I have dropped because when I have songs and they come out, I don’t listen to them again because I have a lot that I am working on.
“Any Black Sherif song I listen to in my car is unreleased but when I dropped Sun Sherif, I lined the projects up and I started listening from The Villain I Never Was to the last song on Sun Sherif and I was just smiling.”
Iron Boy was released in April 2025 and added another significant chapter to Black Sherif’s rapidly evolving musical career.
Black Sherif also recently released his much-anticipated six-track EP, Sun Sherif, on September 4.
