Apostle Rita Korankye-Ankrah, wife of Apostle General, Founder and General Overseer of Royalhouse Chapel International, Sam Korankye-Ankrah, has disclosed that she once had plans to become a Catholic nun before her life took a different direction.
Apostle Rita stated that becoming a nun was a strong personal ambition during her formative years, so much so that she openly communicated her desire to her parents and other people around her.
She explained that, at the time, she was deeply committed to the Catholic faith and had already begun taking steps that she believed would prepare her for religious life.
Speaking on the Upside Down show on Channel One TV on Sunday, September 27, Apostle Rita Korankye-Ankrah said she had never imagined that she would eventually get married because of her determination to become a Catholic nun.
She disclosed that during her childhood and school holidays, she and her sister would regularly visit a convent in Agormanya in the Eastern Region, where they received training as part of their preparation and interest in religious life.
“I didn’t even know I was going to get married. Why? Because I was a typical Catholic. I told everybody and my parents that I wanted to be a Catholic nun. There used to be a convent in Agormanya where, every holiday, my sister and I would go to the convent just for training
“I went to secondary school and then I missed becoming a nun but I believe that my parents are happy now being a pastor and a pastor’s wife.”
