Apostle General Sam Korankye-Ankrah has recounted what he describes as his first encounter with God while he was in Holland after completing his National Service.
The Royalhouse Chapel International founder said the encounter happened unexpectedly while he was sleeping around 2 a.m., when he suddenly heard a knock on the door.
Speaking on the Upside Down show on Channel One TV on Sunday, September 27, Apostle General Korankye-Ankrah explained that he initially assumed the person knocking was his landlord and was coming to collect his rent.
He said he therefore got up and opened the door, only to discover that nobody was standing outside.
The preacher said the unexpected experience was followed by what he described as a breeze and a strong sense of God’s presence within the room.
“I travelled to Holland after my National Service and then I had an encounter with God. I was sleeping and I had rented an Indian man’s room in Holland and I heard a knock on the door and so I thought it was the Indian man coming for his rent, so I opened the door and there was nobody there.
“I felt a breeze and the presence of God in the room. I wanted to sleep but I could not sleep again. I will later come to know these happenings are called encounters and visitations. There are still encounters and visitations today.”
Apostle General Korankye-Ankrah said the experience left a lasting impression on him, particularly because he did not initially understand the nature or significance of what he had experienced.
