After being away for a year, Belgian-Ghanaian duo, B-Phace & Frimps Joe have returned with more than what fans expected. The album opens with motivation, but not the kind that relies on big words. It is about movement, discipline and letting action speak. With faith in Christ at its core, “MG4L” explores the balance between trusting God, believing in yourself and staying determined enough to see the journey through.
Across songs including ‘In My Mind’, ‘Newbeez’, ‘Holy Boyz’, ‘E45’ and ‘Can I Live’, the duo tells the story of two friends working toward a bigger goal. The destination may be within sight, but the album makes it clear that getting there takes patience, sacrifice and consistency. “2026 is not a joke” as they emphasize.
The project follows a deliberate run of releases that began with ‘100 Burpees’, followed by ‘Game Plan’, ‘Revacofit’ and ‘Good Life’. Those records introduced different pieces of the story, leading into the full body of work that is now “MG4L”. More than a title, “MG4L: My Gee for Life” represents the bond between two artists who have continued to create, grow and stand beside each other through different seasons. It is about loyalty, shared ambition and protecting the vision.
Musically, the album moves between bounce and reflection, blending Hip-Hop, Soul-rap and Boom bap with atmospheric production. Twi and English sit naturally together, bringing Ghanaian storytelling into a sound shaped by the duo’s life and creative journey in Belgium. The lyrics remain close to real life: the grind without a safety net, choosing sobriety, faith over ego, responsibility, family and the quiet understanding that real ones keep showing up.
Frimps Joe brings a distinct lyrical style rooted in his Ghanaian heritage, with past collaborations including Pappy Kojo and Philou Louzolo, as well as an early career highlight opening for Ciara in 2013. B-Phace also known as producer, DaBeatbad, brings the production and sonic direction, with credits involving artists such as Lil Skid, Power Be and Kwaku DMC.
Together, they have created a project that feels personal without losing its energy, a reminder that big dreams are built one step, one decision and one day at a time.
