Highlife legend Pat Thomas has officially been featured on the biggest game in the world, Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI), with his timeless classic “Gye Wani” featuring Ebo Taylor.
Rockstar Games, on Thursday, October 8, unveiled the first set of radio stations and songs for GTA VI, set to launch on November 19, 2026.
The song will play on Afro Bank FM, GTA VI’s brand-new radio station dedicated to African music.
The station is described as bringing “the best in African music, from 20th-century classics and undiscovered gems to contemporary sounds like amapiano, 3-step, and more” and will be hosted by Burna and Palmsy.
Alongside Pat Thomas, the station also features Asake-Joha and DJ Lag & Robot Boii-Shay’sana.
For a 1970s Ghanaian Highlife classic to be handpicked by Rockstar to represent Africa on a platform this big, this proves that Highlife is not old music. It’s timeless music.
Amapiano, African classics, 3-step, and more from Burna and Palmsy.
