M.anifest has expressed profound appreciation to Citi FM for the support and encouragement the station has given him throughout his music career, particularly in promoting his album Nowhere Cool.
The award-winning rapper said the station had been an important part of his journey, noting that several people associated with Citi FM had supported his work over the years and helped build an audience for his music.
Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show on Friday, October 16, M.anifest acknowledged the role the station played in helping his music reach listeners, describing its support as significant to the success of Nowhere Cool.
He said the relationship went beyond simply playing his songs, explaining that the station’s staff and listeners had consistently supported his work and helped champion the album.
“I want to thank Citi FM because there have been so many people here, some not in this place anymore but there have been so many people here who have been supportive of me. They have been a core audience for me from the beginning and that has meant a lot, especially in the success of an album like Nowhere Cool because you guys have evangelised for Nowhere Cool and I appreciate you.”
Nowhere Cool remains an important project in M.anifest’s discography, with the rapper preparing to mark the album’s 10th anniversary with a special concert in Accra.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, at the Accra Polo Club, where fans are expected to join the musician in celebrating the milestone.
