Actor/politician, John Dumelo, has shared a story of how a young man approached him to apologize for trolling him on social media when he contested and lost the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary election.
John Dumelo was sharing his opinion on the issue of cyber-bullying and its effects on victims.
According to him, trolling can lead to suicide, as some people do not have the psychological strength to stand such attacks.
According to him, he met a young man during a trip to Sunyani in the Bono Region and had an awkward moment when the guy confessed and apologized for trolling him during the 2020 election.
This comes on the back of a viral video of an aspiring journalist who auditioned for GhOne TV’s “The Next TV Star” and was later exposed for cyber-bullying media personalities, including the judge for the show, Nana Aba Anamoah.
He, via a tweet, finally apologized to the General Manager of GhOne TV, Nana Aba Anamoah, television host, Serwa Amihere, and other victims of his attacks.
Was driving once around Sunyani and bumped into this guy. As soon as he saw me, he said “John, I am sorry”. I asked why. He said during the elections he trolled me so much on social media but now that he’s seen me in person, his perception has changed. I hugged him…..
