The one-week observance for late Ghanaian Highlife legend KK Kabobo took place at the Police Depot in Accra on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
The event drew a crowd of mourners, including fellow Ghanaian music icons Abrantie Amakye Dede, Okyerema Asante, and Obuoba JA Adofo, who came to pay their respects to the late maestro.
One of the poignant moments that characterized the one-week observance of the late highlife legend was how one of his wives Eugenia Kwakye Kabobo reacted when the hit song of the late singer ‘’Onyame Ahu’’ was played.
Clad in her black mourning apparel, the sharp lenses of GhanaWeekend captured Eugenia in a state of deep sorrow while the song was played. She closed her eyes, her expression reflecting the pain of losing a cherished husband
KK Kabobo died after a long battle with liver disease on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the University of Ghana Medical Center. He left behind 16 children and five baby mamas.
