Many young people in Ghana, according to Dr. Daniel McKorley, Chairman of the McDan Group of Companies, sleep far too much and work too little.
Speaking in an Accra-based Joy FM, Dr. McKorley said that a lot of the youths now have been pampered, hence the country has become a begging nation.
Dr. McKorley said, “the youth of today sleep too much, and that is the problem… We have been treated with kid gloves in this country among the youth, and we are becoming a begging nation, and we have to get rid of that”.
“There are vast opportunities out there for the youth which can be taken advantage of and that requires a lot of effort and hard work to push them one step higher,” he added.
McDan stressed that it is necessary to make a courageous move in the direction of realizing one’s dreams and aspirations, instead of waiting for manna to fall from the sky.
