The trending topic on social media now is the “sex for grades” (undercover in West African Universities) investigation carried out by BBC Africa Eye.
The full footage will be posted on the BBC Youtube channel at 6 pm today but a teaser of 13:44 is already out.
The footage captured a lecturer at the College Of Education, (University of Ghana) Dr. Paul Kwame Butakor who was seen having a sexually related conversation with the undercover journalist who posed as a postgraduate student who needed to do her master’s degree.
He repeatedly asked to be her “side guy” and would help her secure National Service.
According to reports, he has denied any such doing.
The other face captured is a senior lecturer, former sub-Dean and head pastor of a local foursquare church, Dr Boniface Igbeneghu (Unilag/ University of Lagos) who was seen bragging about a “cold room” where lectures send female students for sexual acts.
He prayed for the “17-year-old student who needed help admission into the university” (she posed as that), tried groping and even aid he would kiss her for a minute.
In his case, the university also denied the act, according to reports.
