Popular Ghanaian actor Kofi Adu, known in the movie industry as Agya Koo, says his Kumawood colleagues plotted his downfall because he was better than everyone.

The comic actor has been off the screens in recent years, having previously been one of the local favourites.

Explaining why many movie producers have refused to cast him in recent times, Agya Koo said there was a conspiracy to bring him down after he refused to go naked in a movie in which he depicted the legendary Komfo Anokye.

He said he is a strong critic of nude movies and so stormed out of the movie set upon the insistence of the director that he goes naked in a river.

According to him, many movie producers and directors in the Kumawood industry decided to ditch him after the incident.

Agya Koo, however, insists he is still the best in the industry, adding that he has no equal in Kumawood.

I have no equal in the movie industry. I’m a real heavyweight with no worthy contender,” he said during the launch of Agya Koo TV.

“My acting talent towers above all in the Industry; not even Lil Win comes any close to me,” he added.
