The 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has unveiled its nominees list and Okyeame Kwame’s ‘Made in Ghana’ got nominated.
The song was nominated in the Record of Year category.
The Record of the Year is adjudged by the Academy and Board the most outstanding original song that was released during the year under review. It may not have enjoyed commercial success but has quality artistic values.
It was nominated alongside Bra Fie by Fuse ODG featuring Damian Marley, Where You Dey Go by Trigmatic, Hye Me Bo by Akwaboah and Tomorrow by Stonebwoy.
The ‘Made In Ghana’ song is aimed at inculcating a sense of national pride, foster music tourism and expose indigenous music fusion.
It is the theme song on Okyeame’s ‘Made in Ghana’ album which will be launched on March 29, 2019.
The album has 10 songs each of which mirrors the culture of the region it represents. It features 10 different artistes from the 10 regions.
