The maiden edition of Emerging Music Awards, a new music award scheme for up and coming musicians, will be held today, September 21, 2019.
The programme will take place at the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Artistes like ‘Nothing I Get’ hitmaker, Fameye, Kofi Mole, Yaa Jackson, among others have been nominated in the awards.
According to Dr Cann, a Board Member and managing partner of the scheme, “the aim of Emerging Music Awards is to recognize up and coming musicians, who do not get the needed recognition at the already well-established and household name award events.”
He said the awards scheme will lookout for talented up and coming musicians who are determined to take music as their profession.
Winners of the awards will get video recording deals, media promotional interviews, among other juicy packages.
