Ghanaian Afropop singer, Camidoh has complained that Ghanaian artistes lack the spirit of supporting each other.
According to him, the industry is growing but the spirit of complementing one another is non-existent.
“I think that we’re growing bit by bit. One of the things I always say is that we don’t work together. There’s no synergy. You don’t find that synergy. It’s like if you bring your stuff, it has to be your stuff if you’re doing your stuff if I’m also doing my stuff it has to be mine. Stay in your corner let me stay in my corner,” he told Ameyaw on AmeyawTV.
He added that in other industries, the story is different – they actually support.
He also gave instances where he has helped other artistes with their show and also talked about his upcoming ‘save the which has not been given any consideration by other artistes.
He, however, noted that the good thing the industry is blessed with is the new crop of artistes.
“Another thing that I’ve seen that is helping is that the new acts that are coming up talking about me, Kelvyn, Sefa, Ofei they do good music. I’m not saying our ‘oldgees’ were not doing good music,” he said.
