Ghanaian artiste Chase has advised people to continue to stay at home although the president has lifted the lockdown.
After extensive contact tracing and testing, the president lifted the lockdown on Accra, Kasoa, and Kumasi which lasted for three weeks.
According to the president, a total number of 68,591 people were tested for the coronavirus; people numbering 67,549 tested negative while 1042 tested positive out of which 99 have recovered and 9 have died.
The lockdown became necessary as it is one of the measures adopted to curb the spread of coronavirus.
In the president’s address on April 19, 2020, he lifted the lockdown but social gatherings are still banned, borders are closed for two more weeks and people have been advised to stay at home and use a mask if there is the need to go out.
Reacting to the order, Chase said, “The president can’t save you, only you can save you,” adding that “continue to stay home.”
Giving his reason for asking people to stay at home, he noted, ” because if America is struggling, Ghana is not ready this thing is deadlier than people think God bless.”
