Ghanaian artiste Stonebwoy has disclosed that his VGMA feud with Shatta Wale did not only affect his brand and the opportunity of adding those plaques to his collection; it also made him lose money.
According to him, he was billed to perform that night but since he could not, the money was taken back without consideration of how much he might have invested.
He said aside from getting his shoes customized, he also invested 50,000 towards voting for him to win the artiste of the year.
“Every VGMA when you check my shoe my name is in there. It’s level. I brought it to spice up things but it did not go as planned. They could have just asked me to keep the money because I spent on votes. I mean I go buy votes like 50K… Like credit card to share”
When the host asked for clarification, he noted, “I was not even kidding. GHS 50,000 . So, it was hands down if you ask them they know the artiste of the year by vote and by merit and by work was Stonebwoy…For the appearance fee I took, he collected it back.”
He, however, declared that he has learned so much from what ensued that night and that he did not plan for things to turn out the way they did.
