Rapper Medikal and Strongman have had a lyrical beef in 2019 which ended after doing themselves dirty and involving each other’s partners and parents.
In June, Medikal released ‘To Whom It May Concern’ which is an open diss to the industry although some believe it is directed to Kwesi Arthur.
Medikal threw punches especially to address his claim that he saved the rap genre from dying four years ago.
However, it did not go down well with some rappers who feel he cannot give himself the ‘saviour’ title.
Strongman replied him with ‘Don’t Try’ which called him a small boy in the game being deceived by his wife’s stature and “fraud money”.
In response, Medikal released ‘Last Burial’ to which Strongman replied with ‘Immortal’.
After that, Medikal released Drip featuring Joey B and Kofi Mole. That cannot be said to be a diss to Strongman but he also released ‘Ups & Down’ featuring M.anifest.
It appeared both artistes were never going to see eye to eye after the ‘Last Burial’ and ‘Immortal’ which went out of line since some stray bullets went in the direction of their partners and mothers.
Surprisingly, in December, Strongman joined Medikal on stage at the Sowutuom concert where they both hugged and made fans happy.
In January this year, Strongman also featured Medikal on his ‘Bossu’ song making fans assume both artistes have buried the hatchet.
But the female rappers started their own version of beef and dragged Medikal along because it is acclaimed that he wrote the lyrics which Sista Afia used to jab Eno Barony and the rest of the rappers.
One of the songs done by Eno, ‘Force Dem To Play Nonsense’ which featured Strongman and Sister Derby who is Medikal’s Ex-girlfriend.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM May 26, 2020, Medikal noted that “Strongman is a very good rapper” and that at his concert,” he came to show me, love. Shouts to Strong Gee. The fans were very excited to see him because I think they didn’t expect him like so when he came it was mad”.
Touching on the fact that Strongman has “ganged up” with his ex and Eno on their diss song, he said “It’s normal. It’s entertainment. It’s music” adding that he did not listen but his friends told him “It’s a cool jam”.
He also said he and Strongman are “cool. We don’t talk every day but we’re cool. We don’t have an issue” adding that he might “definitely” feature him on “something”.
Meanwhile, he has vowed not to reply any more beef songs no matter who it came from.
