Ghanaian singer eShun has disclosed that she cheated on her former manager, Stephen Mensah twice at a time when they were in a relationship.
“Actually, to be frank, I cheated on him twice. I cheated because I was actually hoping the person will save me from that situation.
“Just like you’re drowning and looking out for something to hold on to. Sometimes it’s not even what you’re supposed to hold on to but anything and everything you think can keep you afloat, you cling on. And that’s the struggle I was in”she added.
She said this when she narrated the ordeal she went through in her relationship with her former manager.
Speaking to Zion Felix on the ‘Uncut’ show, she recounted that Stephen asked her to move in with him but she declined to add that she rather asked him to get her her own place in order to reduce the cost and risk of having to travel to and fro Accra and Cape Coast.
According to her, her decision to not move in with him infuriated him to the extent that he starved her and constantly abused her verbally.
She added that he even used blackmail to get her to not walk out on the relationship.
The ‘Fakye’ singer stated that looking for a bailout from the situation made her cheat twice.
“It got to a point it was so bad I wanted to leave but I was stuck because he will blackmail you, have people call you, sending messages…He put so much fear in me, emotionally, psychologically, I was stuck so I was actually looking out for someone to save me. I couldn’t share with anyone too because I was scared,” she said.
