If you thought dancehall artiste Shatta Wale was inspired by Stonebwoy’s 1GAD to also coin the moniker 1Don, you may be far from right.
‘Wahala Dey’ singer Epixode believes that Shatta Wale may have picked the inspiration from him.
In an interview with Sammy Flex on his online TV programme ‘Showbiz Daily’, he said he started using 1DON long time ago and has been mentioning it in his songs.
Epixode added that until recently, that was the name he used on his social media accounts.
“One don has always been my name. But just to be truthful about this. I don’t know why Wale started using 1DON. I have evidence that I have been using 1DON from way back. In Koto, it was in there, most of my songs it was in there. I am the 1DON and the last don,” he said.

He added that he was referred to as the don because he was a master of everything he did.
“Check from where Epixode started. I have never lost any battle, from when we started clashing, from 2011 till now.
In my circle, I am the President of whatever I do. When I started using Very Good Bab Boys I know Captain Planet was also using Very Good Bad Guys which we’ve never spoken about yet,” Epixode noted.
Shatta Wale, who initially was known as Bandana, got people talking a few months ago when he posted that he was also called ‘1DON.’
For many people, that was just a way to copy Stonebwoy who has also been using 1GAD for some time now.
Epixode is an afrobeat and dancehall artiste who is currently promoting his song against racial discrimination and other ills of the society, ‘Too Much’.
