Artiste Reggie Rockstone has asked that schools be closed to allow kids to come home after cases of coronavirus has been recorded in schools.
According to him, being alive is paramount to getting educated on the school campuses.
Final years and second years on the gold track system in the Senior High School and the form threes in Junior High returned to school since June to write exams.
Despite recording cases in schools like Accra Girls Senior high, authorities have not decided to let students go back home to curb the spread.
Yesterday, the cases recorded in Accra Girls increased to a total of 55 and it is causing panic.
Reggie Rockstone was on Hitz FM where this was mentioned too him.
He noted that he had no idea school was still in session adding that “Why? Because of education? But if you die, the education is over.”
“That’s a no brainer. I don’t need to be in no politics to know that. They should close the schools,” he suggested.
His wife who was with him in the studio also added that “Education is infinite, education is not age bound. One year out of school, two years out will not kill us. However, corona will kill us and once they remain in that space, transmission is high. Spread is high. It’s time to take a stance and make a decision that life is better than the education you’re fighting for. What’s the point of being educated and you dying along the way?’
