Actress and entrepreneur Salma Mumin has cleared allegations that a man sponsored the house she is building and the car she drives.

Every now and then female celebrities’ properties are scrutinized and tagged to be things they did not work for. While a few confirm they acquired almost everything through the help of their sugar daddies, there are the ones who deny the claims.

Salma was driving a Range Rover some months ago but she changed it to a convertible which has raised all kinds of speculations all over social media.

Reacting to the rumours on Neat FM, she noted that there is nothing wrong with a man sponsoring a woman’s lifestyle but she acquired her material things all by herself.

She stated that anytime she talks about funding her life all by herself, no one believes her but one day her bank statements would vindicate her.

“I’m building (a house) but it’s not sponsored by Papa no. I had a range rover evoke that was problematic and I decided to sell it and get a new one. What’s wrong with that? Why should it be somebody buying it for me?” she said adding that there are lots of women working so hard, footing their own bills as well as taking care of their family.

She further pointed out that there are women who work tirelessly for their upkeep and that of their family.

Having said that, she pleaded that people desist from generalising as far as this topic is concerned.

“Society has made the young girls arrive at the conclusion that before you succeed, it has to be a man. Yes, men do help but there are other women too that aren’t doing, It doesn’t mean you should generalize it. please,” she stated.
