Highlife musician Ofori Amponsah has asked musicians to boycott the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards because he believes they add nothing to the career.
According to him, they also cash in on the brands of the musicians and later present them with wooden plaques.
He told Mike 2 on Adom FM’s ‘Entertainment Hall’ that he has resolved not to attend any award ceremony and wishes his other colleagues do same.
As he had said in other interviews, Ofori wants these award schemes to award money, cars or houses instead of plaques.
