Sarkodie has stated in a reply tweet to the President, Nana Akufo-Addo that his latest ‘Happy Day’ song is not an endorsement to him.

In Sarkodie’s ‘Happy Day’ song, he mentions that if in the past he talked about erratic electricity supply (dumsor) and inflation but can now enjoy Free Senior High School policy rolled out by the NPP, then Nana deserves another term.

At the end of the song, he also mentions a popular slogan of the New Patriotic Party: “the battle is the Lord’s.”

This has been construed to mean an endorsement of the President.

However, after the President retweeted the song, this was Sarkodie’s replied that the song is not meant for him.

“Nana M3nfa bronya ho nre akoko oo lool [Nana, don’t take advantage of this] !! when I say aban ( all parties ) Shouts to yourself x JM but if i feel like pointing out the negatives too you know how we do.”

Already, Ghanaian dancehall artiste Samini has openly endorsed President Akufo-Addo’s candidature. He has released a campaign song titled ‘Kpoyaka’.

Celebrities like Kalybos, General Ntatea, Empress Gifty, Too Sweet Annan, Prince David Osei, Lucky Mensah, Agya Koo, has also declared their support for the NPP.

The NDC also has MzBel, Rex Omar, Abu Sadiq, and others.
