The Parliamentary Candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency on the ticket od the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dumelo, has apologised for a comment he made on a campaign platform.
John had said that his party will not sit aloof to watch anybody rig the 2020 elections.
The actor-turned-politician said at a rally that unlike in the past where the party decided not to contest any defeat, they have resolved to beat up anyone who dares to manipulate the election results.

He, therefore, assured the members that come what may the flagbearer of the party, John Dramani Mahama is going to win the Presidential elections.
The ‘Baby Thief’ actor is contesting the incumbent Lydia Alhassan for the parliamentary seat at the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
However, in a recent tweet, he has apologised for his comment.
“I’m wholeheartedly sorry for my comments in the said video. I’m a man of peace and will always promote peace. Let’s make Ghana and Ayawaso West a better place,” he wrote.
