As part of highlighting poetry in Ghana, some workshops are being organised to offer a platform for poetry conversations to move to more actionable activities like documenting poetry in Wikipedia.
The programme organised by the Wikimedia Ghana User Group will be launched on Sunday, March 21, 2021. which happens to be World Poetry Day.
“We are having a virtual launch tomorrow on Zoom which would be streamed live on our Facebook page Wikimedia Ghana User Group,” says the Program Manager Content Creation, Justice Okai-Allotey.
This will be followed by ‘in-person’ workshops to train participants to edit articles around Ghanaian Poetry.
The first workshop will be on March 27, 2021, and that will be followed by the second workshop slated for May 1, 2021.
On May 22, 2021, the last one for the season will be held.
