Ghanaian saxophonist, Steve Bedi has described Ghanaian artistes as ungrateful.
The jazz artiste who has played for a lot of mainstream artistes for their concerts and studio sessions has said that
“Musicians and artistes in Ghana are ungrateful. They are my own people; I won’t mention names. I keep doing stuff for them but still show me ungratefulness,” he noted.
He said there will be a problem are a discussion on royalties are discussed among musicians because the mainstream acts would not want to give the instrumental artistes their due.
Steve Bedi said he these artistes do not reciprocate the respect the instrumentalists show them.
He therefore called on all instrumentalists to come together to demand standard charges for their works.
