Gospel musician, Celestine Donkor, says people who condemned her for collaborating with highlife and afro-pop singers Efya and Akwaboah Jnr. are ignorant of the Christian faith.
Speaking in an interview on Citi TV’s ‘The Chat’ show, the singer said she received a lot of criticism from people who were not happy about her collaborations with the ‘secular’ musicians.
She said the initiative to collaborate with her fellow artistes was to thank God for seeing the nation through the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to her, any Christian who exhibits such judgmental behaviour is ignorant and an embarrassment to the faith.
“Nobody has the right to stop another person from thanking God. And nobody needs a special qualification to sing a song of gratitude to God,” she said.
She added that she cannot be bothered by negative criticisms as she is fully committed to her ministry and following her passion.
