Ghanaian broadcaster and musician, Kokui Selormey Hanson, has been featured in a hospital drama series titled ‘Accra Medic.’
Compact and GOtv Supa viewers can watch the series after it premieres on Wednesday 19 January 2022 at 20:30.
The first episode of ‘Accra Medic’, an original TV medical drama which is a heart-warming, feel-good, tearjerker of a medical series, follows the lives of the medical and administrative staff of a new well-equipped modern satellite hospital in Accra.
The staff has the mandate to prove to the community and society at large that, unlike other government hospitals that have been run down, they are capable of maintaining high clinical standards and improving the lives of all those who pass through their doors.
Kokui is a co-host of Citi FM’s morning show (Citi Breakfast Show) and also a co-host of Breakfast Daily, the morning show on Citi TV.
She is also known in the world of music for her coruscating operatic performances and other musical works.
‘Accra Medic’ has one of the best ensembles with a slew of established actors and an exceptional cast of virtually unknown faces.
The cast also includes Edward Agyekum Kufuor, Desiree Crentsil, Kweku Elliott, Aaron Adatsi, Osei Kwame Bentil, Ninette Orleans-Thompson, Elizabeth Allotey-Annan, Nubuke Gadzekpo-Amoah, Elaine Attoh, Collins Amegbor and Emmanuel Ato Ghartey.
The performances and enthusiastic approach of all the lead characters will make you feel the passion they have for the jobs they do and the challenges and struggles they have out of work.
Accra Medic would be the first medical series produced in Ghana, shot on the prestigious premises of UGMC.
Accra Medic is produced by Revele Productions, creators of hit shows such as Home Sweet Home and Run Baby Run and promises to keep viewers glued to their seats every Wednesday at 8:30 pm from the 19th of January 2020.
The show is also available on the Showmax APP.
